MY My Journey

Growing up in New Orleans and Birmingham shaped me to love good food, hot sun and lush nature – there was lots of family, festivals and difficult heart breaking times. The push to succeed was always present – studying to become the best even in the face of challenge. Making my way to NYC, I worked at big law firm strategizing the complexities of melding law with a burgeoning technology field  It was very rewarding until life required more than achievement – it required all of me  which meant learning to connect with the deepest wounds of my childhood, heal them and let them go. Making whole these places of pain so that I would understand the pathway to my fullest expression. There is love underneath always. Even in the deepest pain. Even in the letting to. Even in the mess and failure that was to come as I grieved for many years, clearing out the old and coming into relationship with the mending possibility that opens when grief is cleared and the relationship with self begins.

Healing sexual trauma has taught me how to repair my nervous system, connect with my desire, my sexual expression, money. It has taught me to connect with the feeling of power again, and the potency of its energetic expression. It has taught me ancient ritual practice and to connect with long lines of ancestors and healing modalities, the power of nature and deep wisdom within. It has taught me the brilliance of the universe and to trust above all else in the all-knowing journey of the universe.

It has brought me into a woman I would not have known, one who can hold and walk through dark times, hearing the message along the way. It is teaching me the slow, slow cellular alignment that happens in alchemy. It is teaching me the way to wholeness. It is teaching me my genius and brilliance through every failure and lesson, through every joy and gift I channel in. I am a medicine woman and I work through writing, art, speaking and teaching.

Healing ourselves is the pathway home - even in its pain, even in its triumph, especially in its humility. In this we work in concert to heal our lines opening abundant flows of love and forgiveness, purpose and full expression. These are always available.
